Temple of Abu Simbel
(Abu simbul) is an archaeological site there's abdomen mountain south of Aswan. It consists of two large temples carved into the rock. It was built by King Ramses II in 1250 BC.. The facade of the temple consists of four large statues. King statue, up 67 (20 meters) ahead and the door leading to the chambers 180 feet in length. There are six statues at the entrance of the temple the other four of Ramses II and two of his wife Nefertari.

These effects were threatened with drowning due to be Lake Nasser behind the Aswan High Dam. Egyptian Government has in cooperation with UNESCO in 1965 to transfer to nearby temple with high levels reach of the waters of Lake Nasser. The project included cutting the temple to the large stones weighing 1-2 tons, then lifted and then assembled in the new place.
